Tyreke Evans leaves Pelicans for Grizzlies
The 27-year-old Pennsylvania native is heading to the Memphis Grizzlies after his run with the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans this offseason. Tyreke Evans has been a rising star since his rookie year in the NBA but unfortunately on his seventh season injury started to bother Evans and would eventually lead his career to a big slide.
Hoping for a fresh and healthy start next season the talented two-way swingman brings his talent to the Memphis Grizzlies in a 3.3$ million one-year deal, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, this is a big pay cut from his previous contract amounting to over 11 million dollars a year. Evans has career averages of 16.2 points, 1.3 steals, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 44.4% from the line and only 29.5% from beyond the arc in 473 games in the NBA under 32.2 minutes per game.
Pacers start to rebuild by signing Bogdanovic
The Indiana Pacers have shipped out Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a couple of young talents and a couple of picks, this trade likely was the beginning of the Pacers rebuilding process for years to come.
Fresh from the blockbuster Paul George trade the Indiana Pacers have reportedly signed Boban Bogdanovic to a two year 21 million dollar contract this offseason per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN this.
Since the Washington Wizards waived their qualifying offer for Bojan the Pacers are able to sign him for two years. Bogdanovic has career averages of 11.3 points, 1.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 44.3% from the field and 36.9% from beyond the arc in 238 NBA games.
Oklahoma Thunder and Felton agree to deal
The Oklahoma City Thunder are gearing up for a big season after acquiring NBA All-Star Paul George from the Indiana Pacers this offseason. George will be teaming up with NBA Most Valuable Player Russell Westbrook and gives a much-needed help to the one man show in Oklahoma.
After acquiring George the Thunder are now in the process of putting in small pieces to complete their roster puzzle next season.
They start with signing 13-year veteran Raymond Felton to a minimum one-year deal per Chris Haynes of ESPN, he will likely be the main backup point guard behind Russel Westbrook. He has career averages of 12.4 points, 1.3 steals, 5.7 assists, and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 41.3% from the field and 32.7% from the three point line.
