This offseason is quickly coming to a close after having so many stars and solid players change teams. We also saw how good the draft picks are this year and of course, some new rules put into place by the NBA board. Here are some new free agency reports in the NBA:

Otto Porter sign max deal

The Washington Wizards have reportedly match the offer sheet made by the Brooklyn Nets to Otto Porter as reported by David Aldridge of NBA TNT. There were rumors that Porter may be heading to Brooklyn with the Wizards not offering a direct offer to Porter, but it was a no brainer for the Washington Wizards to keep Otto Porter and to keep their young core intact with John Wall and Bradley Beal.

Porter was one of the big free agent names this offseason despite him being a restricted free agent, the Nets were really interested in him by offering him a four year 106 million dollar deal but the Wizards quickly announced that they will match the offer sheet next week. Porter had a career high stat line except for assists last season that paved his way to a max contract, he averaged 13.4 points, 0.5 blocks, 1.5 steals, and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 51.6% from the field and 43.4% from beyond the arc. He will surely be a big asset to the Wizards playoff run next season with his ability to score off the ball and his athletic defensive ability on the defensive end.

Ginobili will not retire yet

With Dewayne Dedmon joining the Hawks and Jonathan Simmons going to Orlando this offseason the Spurs are in dire need of a solid role player for next season. Retirement has been looming over Ginobili ever since Tim Duncan laced up the boots for good but his recent announcement to stay with the Spurs and in the NBA is a godsend for the Spurs as they are in dire need of a role player.

Ginobili a 15-year veteran will turn 40 next week and will play one more year in the NBA as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

He may be aging but he still has what it takes to make a difference on the floor for the Spurs, at 39 Ginobili blocked James Harden's (One of the best scorers in the NBA today) game winning shot in their playoff matchup last post season, that eventually helped the Spurs move on to the NBA Western Conference Finals.

This showed that Ginobili still has a lot left in the tank and will help the roster deprived Spurs with Parker still recovering from his injury last season, Ginobili will be a big part of the Spurs success next season.

With lots of players changing teams it good to see some players staying in their respective teams this offseason and to see future NBA Hall of Famers play one more season in the league. The 2017-2018 NBA season is shaping of the be one hell of a season.
