Hope springs eternal for every NFL team

By this time next week all 32 teams in the NFL will have officially began training camp for the upcoming 2017-18 season and a drive towards a Super Bowl title. While only two teams, the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys, have officially started camp, the remaining 30 squads will kickoff camp sometime this week.

Nfl Training Camp is a great time of the year for players and fans alike. Every team has hopes of putting together a great season and a run towards a Super Bowl berth next February. While teams like the New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, and Atlanta Falcons are a few of the early Las Vegas odds favorites, you know that there will be a team or two that most NFL fans are overlooking that will surprise us all.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots favored again

To no one’s surprise, every sportsbook in the country has the New England Patriots listed as the preseason favorites to win the Super Bowl this season. The defending champion Patriots just never seem to skip a beat under the player-coach combo of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, and experts are looking for more of the same in 2017.

The latest report from Oddsshark has New England listed at +350, which makes them the heavy favorites. In second place is a five-way tie between the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons and Oakland Raiders at +1200. Rounding out the top ten Super Bowl favorites heading into fall camp are the Steelers and Texans, both at +1600, followed by the Denver Broncos at +1800 and the New York Giants at +2000.

The longest long shots on the board? That "honor" belongs to the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns, both who are currently listed at +20000.

Take a deep breath pigskin fans, it is officially the calm before storm. Every team will be 0-0 on Week 1, and all NFL fans have hopes that their team is the last one standing - but it all starts under the hot July sun of training camp.
