Javale Mcgee is a free agent in the NBA, and the Los Angeles Clippers have thoughts of acquiring the NBA star. It turns out that the Clippers have already scheduled a meeting with McGee. The 29-year-old player has given his best effort with the Golden State Warriors, and it might be time for him to start a new career with the Clippers.

Since McGee is a free agent, he will need to be on a team sooner or later. The Los Angeles Clippers seem to be one of the first teams that have expressed their interest in McGee. In the last NBA season, McGee was on the bench, but with just 9.6 minutes per game, he managed to average 6.1 points, with 0.9 blocks, and 3.2 rebounds.

He also achieved a career best 65.2 percent shooting from the field.

Will JaVale McGee be the right player for the Clippers?

The Clippers seem to be trying out a new approach, and JaVale McGee might just be the right person for the team. According to Bleacher Report, McGee wanted to remain with the Warriors organization after winning his first career championship. The Clippers might have looked into his potential plus they could certainly use an extra hand like McGee on the team.

The Los Angeles Clippers have just traded Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets. At this moment, they are reshaping their roster. Since they managed to hold back Blake Griffin in free agency, JaVale McGee is surely one option for the Clippers.

Overall, it turns out that the Clippers are reshaping their entire team. They landed forward Danilo Gallinari from the Denver Nuggets with a three-team-deal.

The Warriors is still another option for McGee

JaVale has jumped between four different teams during the first eight seasons of his career. During 2014-15 he played between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Nuggets, where he played only 23 games.

Later on, in 2015-16 he played 34 games with the Dallas Mavericks. However, the Golden State Warriors took him in for a one-year contract.

After playing with Dallas, it seemed that McGee would be on his way out of the league. But the Warriors had stepped in and now they are also another option for him to play with them once more.

Golden State might still have the interest to keep him back with them because he helped the team reclaim the NBA championship.

With that said, the center player has managed to draw the attention of the Los Angeles Clippers. As of now, McGee is still in contact with both the Clippers and the Warriors.
