Manchester United scored two goals against their local rivals manchester city. The starting was good for both sides as both teams played net to net high line attacking game. Manchester United's Romelo Lukaku and Marcus Rashford scored one goal each within three minutes, before going to half time.

The match was just a friendly and Manchester City's first game while Manchester United has already played two friendly matches in the US tour against LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake. Jose Mourinho completed three games winning streak in their first three games this season.

This is quite a positive thing for Manchester United side before facing the Champions League winners Real Madrid in their upcoming pre-seaosn friendly schedule.

Manchester City

Nasri and Mangala were two players for Manchester City who returned to their team after completing the loan spells last season. Both made the appearance in their first friendly match.Manchester City's new signing Kyle Walker made his first appearance as expected, unlike new signing Bernardo Silva who is not expected to play until the start of the Premier league. Kyle Walker showed why he is signed by one of the best teams in the world. He played really well at his traditional left back position and came to attacking lines whenever his teammates needed him to be there while the teenager Phil Foden was also very impressive.

Coming to Manchester City's new goal keeper Ederson, it was a pretty busy day for him as United were playing on the Manchester City's half most of the time, unlike last season where they parked the bus in most of their matches against big clubs.

Manchester United

Even though the result is nothing as it was just a friendly match, Manchester United could still take this as an advantage before kicking off their Premier League match against West Ham in August.

Romelo Lukaku again showed why he is a Red Devil by scoring a sensational goal from a very tight angle after beating Manchester CIty's newly signed goal keeper Ederson. Just after two minutes of United's first goal, teenage striker Marcus Rashford scored after taking a super cut pass by his team mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan. That two goal difference was proved to be the match winning goals for Manchester United.

After all, it would not be unfair to say that Manchester United was in full control.

Here are some reactions from the winning side manager Jose Mourinho: "They got more from us. More intensity, more defensively, so better from us." On Lukaku, "I couldn't be happier with what he's doing, and I couldn't be happier that we signed him before pre-season. It's fantastic for his understanding."

In the end, It wasn't a boring game at all for 67,401 fans in Houston. Both the teams played well to bring the result in their favor, and both teams did well in the rivalry match.
