The past year has been a roller coaster ride for fans of WWE "Raw" superstar Bayley. She captured the WWE "Raw" Women's Championship and was holding it at "WrestleMania 33" but then lost a big match in her home city of San Jose. On recent weeks on "Raw" she was involved in one of the worst-received segments in WWE history. Now things could get even shakier with her story as there are WWE rumors about a new storyline leading into the WWE "SummerSlam" 2017 pay-per-view. The latest plot for everyone's favorite "hugger" could involve a romance for the underdog women's superstar.

Bayley's romance

The Bayley rumors are being mentioned by several wrestling websites including Rajah.com. The site indicates that WWE officials are planning to have a story where Bayley has never kissed a man before. The plan would be for her to eventually have her "first kiss" after winning a big match at "Summerslam" 2017.

Rumors are also indicating that WWE "Raw" commentator Corey Graves will be the one involved in the storyline. Graves was recently featured in several other WWE stories including the mystery of who attacked Enzo Amore and the ongoing situation with Kurt Angle seeing some troubling text messages.

Bayley's situation

Bayley was a fan-favorite since her days in WWE's NXT where she became the likable underdog.

She'd eventually go on to defeat Sasha Banks in a classic women's match for the NXT Women's Championship. As soon as she arrived at the main roster, she was instantly over with the fans there too.

However, WWE has once again had its issues with developing a talent from NXT on the main roster. Despite Bayley winning the WWE "Raw" Women's title, she lost it in the most peculiar fashion, almost as if being punished in front of her hometown fans.

In addition to that, she was said to have had a weak showing in her "Extreme Rules" Kendo Stick on a Pole match against Alexa Bliss.

To add to all the issues was the "This is Your Life" segment on "Raw" which it seems like this new storyline will draw from. In that segment, women's champion Alexa Bliss ran down a history of Bayley as a young girl to paint her as a bit of a "loser" who never had success with boys.

There was an "ex-boyfriend" invited to the segment as well as one of Bayley's best friends growing up, but the ex-bf ended up confessing he always liked Bayley's friend better.

One has to wonder who Bayley will face at "Summerslam" for the kiss to happen because it almost seems like she could be involved in a mixed tag match with a male superstar as her tag partner, or that she'll be interviewed by Graves and plant a kiss on him after a win.
