As the NBA offseason begins tomorrow, teams continue to make moves to get leverage and assets once the offseason begins. Despite the busy pre-offseason, the two NBA finalists Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors have been silent. Let's take a look at current updates on the NBA scene.

Iguodala meeting with Western Giants

Chris Haynes of ESPN reported that two-time NBA All-defensive team and former Finals Most Valuable Player is meeting with the San Antonio Spurs once the offseason begins. Chris also mentioned that Iguodala has not yet met with the Warriors and will talk to other teams this offseason.

The Golden State Warriors are going to have a tough time re-signing Iguodala with salary cap issues and they seem to be saving money to keep the Durant, Green, Curry, and Thompson core in the Bay. If Iguodala does go with the Spurs, this will be a big blow to the Golden State Warriors with the Spurs being their primary competitor in the west.

Timberwolves send Ricky Rubio to Utah

The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced that Ricky Rubio has been traded to the Utah Jazz in exchange for a 2018 first round draft pick a day before the offseason begins. Wolves head coach Tom Thibodeau then thanked Rubio for his contributions and commitment to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rubio was drafted fifth overall pick by the Wolves in the 2009 NBA Draft, in his stay in Minnesota, he averaged 10.3 points, 8.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 353 games while shooting 37.5% from the field and 31.5% from beyond the arc.

Teague likely to move to Minnesota

Ever since Paul George was placed on the trading block this offseason, this signaled the rebuild warning to other players on the Indiana Pacers team. With Jeff Teague not getting younger, he wants to put himself in the best position to win next season. The New York Knicks have reportedly given up on Jeff Teague, as reported by Marc Stein of ESPN since it seems likely that Jeff Teague will go to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After trading Kriss Dunn to the Chicago Bulls and shipping Ricky Rubio to the Utah Jazz, this opens up both cap space and the point guard position for the Wolves to make a move on Teague. The Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Andrew Wiggins core will surely attract Jeff Teague and other point guards this upcoming NBA free agency period. Teague averaged 15.3 points, four points, 7.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 82 games with the Pacers while shooting 44.2% from the field and 35.7% from beyond the arc.
