At Sunday's WWE "Payback" 2017 pay-per-view, Randy Orton takes on Bray Wyatt in the first-ever House Of Horrors match. The special match was announced weeks ago as Wyatt issued the challenge to Orton from the big screen on "SmackDown Live." Orton is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and a member of "SmackDown" now, but Wyatt moved over to the "Monday Night Raw" roster a few weeks ago. Still, the match will take place as Wyatt tries to get revenge on Orton for burning down his complex and the remains of Sister Abigail. So what will the House of Horrors match be like?

What is a House of Horrors match?

As mentioned, this sort of match has never happened before in the WWE. Bray Wyatt has continued to talk it up as something that Orton has never experienced before. The WWE has run polls on their website asking fans what the match should include. Some of the options included darkness, fire, pitchforks, fog, music, mirrors, "sheeple," and projected images. Fans saw the latter of these options as part of Orton vs. Wyatt at "WrestleMania 33." The ring had different bugs or weird creepy crawly things projected on it at various

Unfortunately for Bray, that didn't work on "The Viper" who defeated him for the title.

Still, on Monday's episode of "Raw," commentator Corey Graves indicated part of how this "House of Horrors" match will work on Sunday. Graves mentioned that the match is going to start somewhere outside of the ring and will eventually finish inside of it.

A comparison has been made to the old school "Boiler Room Brawl" matches made famous by Mankind and Kane back in the day.

Is the championship on the line?

As of this report, it doesn't appear that Randy Orton will defend his WWE World Championship belt as part of this match. Instead, it looks like this is just a way for Bray Wyatt to try to get some revenge on "The Viper" for his past betrayal and burning down of his property.

Orton is scheduled to take on a new foe, Jinder Mahal, at the next pay-per-view WWE "Backlash" 2017 in May. Jinder won a special "Sixpack Challenge" match on "SmackDown Live" to earn himself the spot of No. 1 contender. First, Orton will have to survive Sunday's strange new "House of Horrors" match at "Payback" against Bray Wyatt to make it to the next PPV.
