Ducks vs. Tar Heels preview

So how'd they get here? For the Oregon Ducks, there were a few close calls along the way.

The Ducks took down No. 14 seed Iona 93-77 in the first round but then things got interesting. Oregon outlasted URI by a final of 75-72 and then edged the No. 7 Michigan Wolverines 69-68. In their most recent outing, they seemed to make easy work of the No. 1 seed Kansas Jayhawks 74-60. With a few double-digit wins and close calls as well they may be well prepared for any sort of game tonight.

UNC also had a close call in their Elite Eight game. The Tar Heels needed a last-second shot from former walk-on Luke Maye to eliminate the Kentucky Wildcats 75-73. Beyond that game, UNC was able to handle most of their competition, but now they'll have another tough task in a team that is also on a mission.

Carolina will look to their talented players including NBA prospect Justin Jackson. The junior is averaging 18.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for the season. Joel Berry II, Kennedy Meeks, and Isaiah Hicks will be other players looking to make their impact in this crucial game.

The North Carolina Tar Heels will have the role of favorites tonight.

On the point spread, UNC is a 4.5-point favorite, with a moneyline price of -215. The underdog Ducks are +185 on the moneyline, while tonight's over/under points total is around 153 for the complete game. Against the spread, UNC is 20-16 as the favorite, while Oregon is 4-1 ATS as the underdog.
