On Thursday night, the warriors vs. Bulls live stream online and televised NBA matchup will be part of a TNT doubleheader with Golden State's top star missing from the lineup. For the first time this season, it has left the favorites to win the NBA championship in doubt, as their superstar Kevin Durant recently went down with an injury. For the rest of the league, the vulnerability makes things that much more interesting. Can Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade, and the Chicago Bulls capture a key home win over the league's top team? The NBA matchup will be on TV and live stream feeds thanks to TNT networks.

Kevin Durant out of action

After a recent MRI, it's been determined that Golden State's leading scorer Kevin Durant will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. He's expected to be re-evaluated in about a month, and the Warriors appear like they will be cautious with their latest star as they look to pursue another championship.

Even without Durant, the Warriors still have their other trio of All-Stars that were there before KD's arrival. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will look to pick up the slack. Many teams in the league would love to have just one of these stars on their roster, but Golden State still has all three healthy and ready to contribute in KD's absence.

Chicago's playoff chase

The Chicago Bulls remain amongst the top eight teams in the East, but really by the slimmest of margins. As of this report, Chicago is the No. 7 team overall with a record of 30-30. Detroit is right below them at 29-31 for the eighth spot, while at least three other teams are within striking distance.

Miami (28-33), Milwaukee (26-32), and Charlotte (26-34) are all close enough to grab a low seed in the Eastern Conference with a solid winning streak and some Chicago losses.

The Bulls were victorious in their game last weekend against the Cleveland Cavaliers, with LeBron James out due to illness. However, Chicago will have a test even with Durant out of the lineup as they host the Western Conference champions and NBA champs from two seasons ago.

How to watch & odds

Golden State enters this first NBA matchup without Durant as seven-point favorites. The over/under points total is set at 219 for the complete game.
