Adrian Peterson is now the most successful free agent in the NFL in many years, possibly rivaling the peyton manning free agency from a few years ago. While many people see Peterson as a 31-year-old running back with numerous knee injuries in his past, Adrian has proven over the years to be someone capable of bouncing back strong.

The Minnesota Vikings released him to avoid paying him, but there is a team out there who is more than willing to take the chance on the future Hall of Fame NFL player.

The Minnesota Vikings and Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson was the face of the Minnesota Vikings for many years.

He stuck with the team for a very long time without ever having a real chance to win a Super Bowl. During this period, the Vikings struggled to win without a quality quarterback while Peterson piled up the yards.

It seems similar to the career of Barry Sanders. Peterson ran for 2,097 yards in 2012, almost breaking Eric Dickerson's NFL single-season rushing record, missing it by eight yards. He led the NFL in rushing three times, including the season after he returned from a torn ACL.

Adrian Peterson as a free agent

The question is who will pick up Adrian Peterson? He is still a starting running back, even after a disappointing 2015 NFL season where he ran for 72 yards over three games and ended up out with another injury.

The NFL team that trusts Peterson will have to hope for another rebound year. He did run for 1,485 yards in 2015.

Possible Adrian Peterson destinations

The Denver Broncos proved what it meant to trust a legendary player when they signed Peyton Manning after the Indianapolis Colts gave up on him. Manning led them to two Super Bowls, broke NFL passing records as a Broncos player, and retired after winning a Super Bowl.

Tony Romo is looking for a new team with the Dallas Cowboys either waiving him or trading him. Could anyone imagine Romo and Adrian Peterson both agreeing to sign with a team, at lower rates than they deserve, to win a Super Bowl? Could that be the Denver Broncos, a team that already has one of the best defenses in the NFL?

The Denver Broncos could be the team to beat if Adran Peterson and Tony Romo choose to team up and create a super team in the NFL.
