On Sunday when the NFL Playoffs take place, two teams will emerge as winners and head to Super Bowl LI in several weeks. The Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, and Pittsburgh Steelers are all hopeful that they'll be the team to capture this year's Super Bowl 2017 trophy. However, only two teams will win in the matchups tomorrow, and only one will win the ultimate prize. Here's a look at when the NFL Playoffs games take place today for the AFC Championship Game and the NFC Championship Game matchups.

The Packers vs. Falcons

First on the schedule will be the NFC Championship Game.

In this matchup, the Green Bay Packers will visit the Atlanta Falcons. It will be a showdown of two of the game's top quarterbacks, with Aaron Rodgers trying to lead his team to another Super Bowl win. On the other side will be Matt Ryan, a quarterback who has yet to enjoy Super Bowl success but is hungry for it. He'll have the home field advantage with his team looking like an unstoppable offensive force. However, it's hard to ever count out a player of Rodgers' caliber.

The NFC Championship Game is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Eastern Time and will be shown on FOX and their affiliate channels for TV. As far as live streaming, the Packers vs. Falcons can be seen online through the NFL Mobile app for smartphones or tablets, and also may be available on FOX Sports Go in certain regions of the country.

The Steelers vs. Patriots

Finishing out the day's matchups will be the AFC Championship Game. This matchup features Tom Brady and the New England Patriots hosting Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Once again, two of the game's top quarterbacks are featured. It's a rematch of these two teams from earlier in the season when Brady and the Pats were victorious at Pittsburgh.

However, Landry Jones was the Steelers' QB in that game with Roethlisberger injured. Now "Big Ben" has a chance to guide his team to another Super Bowl appearance and possible win.

This exciting AFC matchup is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. Eastern Time and will be televised live on CBS and their affiliate stations. It's believed that live streaming may be available through the CBS All-Access subscription service, which has a free one-week trial for new customers.

In addition, Verizon Mobile customers can likely watch a live stream through the NFL Mobile app.

Super Bowl LI

As mentioned, a trip to the 2017 Super Bowl is on the line with Sunday, February 5th this year's game date. This year's game will be held in Houston, Texas with four possible matchups. Here's a look at what this year's Super Bowl matchup could be after Sunday's games:

  • Patriots vs. Falcons
  • Patriots vs. Packers
  • Steelers vs. Falcons
  • Steelers vs. Packers

As it stands, the Patriots and Falcons are the favorites on Sunday, making their meeting in the big game the most likely. However, it's hard to count out top level quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger, who both have been to the Super Bowl and won it before. All of this makes for an exciting Sunday doubleheader of playoff games for sports fans to enjoy!
