Spoiler alerts for "The Young and the Restless" indicate that the battle for who will raise Christian is about to heat up, Adam has already manipulated Phyllis into helping him gain control of his brother's company, and both he and Nick expect Victor to be their side. Chelsea will soon return to Genoa City and this is when everything will change. She will have to decide whether or not her former spouse or his sibling will be raising her son. With influence from the boy's grandfather, Chelsea will determine if her son remains with his uncle who he currently lives with, or take up residence with his biological father.
'Y&R' custody battle intensifies
Celeb Dirty Laundry says that Chelsea will soon return to Genoa City where she will be faced with a difficult decision. She alone must choose where Christian will live. Nick and Adam have been fighting over the boy for weeks and each of them wants Victor on their side. The Newman patriarch is trying to stay neutral but "Y&R" spoilers suggest he will eventually side with one of his sons. No matter what he believes is best for his grandson, it will be the child's mother who has the final say so.
Soap Dirt reveals that this week Victor will be focused on his health crisis, as his sons face off over Christian. When Chelsea comes back to town, however, he will naturally attempt to influence her decision.
"Y&R" spoilers indicate that Ms.Lawson has remarried and allowed her new husband to adopt Conner. As the custody battle intensifies, she could decide to walk away from the Newman drama and let her most recent spouse raise Christian as well.
Nick is in a tangled web
Soap Dirt points out that Nick should be the last one playing hardball regarding custody, after what Victor put him through regarding Christian.
His hatred for his brother is clouding his judgment and Adam's latest move has pushed Nick over the edge. His sibling manipulated Phyllis and now owns the mortgage to Dark Horse. Neither of the Newman brothers wants to compromise and their father suggested, but it may not even matter. If "Y&R" spoilers are correct, Chelsea will hold most of the power and not even Victor can control the outcome.
Christian's birth mother is dead, and the woman who raised him is a grifter who basically abandoned him. His father is a sociopath, his grandfather a tyrant and the only dad he has ever known may lose all rights to the little boy. This tangled web, that Nick is caught in, will not be easily resolved, so be on the lookout for spoilers to update the custody battle. Will Chelsea and her new husband end up raising Christian, or could she fall under Adam's spell once more? Will Nick be allowed to keep his son, or will the by be given to his biological dad? What role if any will Victor play in the final outcome? Stay tuned to "The Young and the Restless" weekday afternoons at 12:30 PM EST on CBS to find out.
