A new movie every year

In the past, Disney had dropped hints that they had plans to release a new Star Wars movie every year.

The basis for such a decision was the overwhelming popularity of these sci-fi movies. However, the lackluster box office performance of “Solo: A Star Wars Story” forced a rethinking. Disney CEO Bob Iger says Episode 9 is in progress and they finalized a deal with David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. They have made a name for themselves through “Game of Thrones,” and they would direct the next Star Wars movie.
