Things are about to heat up on "The Young and the Restless" for Genoa City's most recent newlyweds. They are going to encounter and have to fight continued opposition to their marriage. Summer is outraged that her own mother was trying to get a business deal at the expense of her marriage to Kyle. She is also fully aware that Lola is now willing to go all the way and give the man she loves what she has been withholding for months. The new Mrs. Abbott is going to tear into Phyllis regarding her recent actions, and she will pull out all stops to keep her spouse in her bed.
Meanwhile, Kyle promised Lola he would not sleep with his wife again, but he may not be able to help himself.
Lola plays dirty to win Kyle
Lola seems to have developed some spunk since her surgery as last week she was willing to sleep with Kyle. She also made a demand that if he truly wants her, he will not go to bed with his new bride again. Celeb Dirty Laundry suggests, that young Mr. Abbott will not be able to keep his promise and that Genoa City will be filled with drama because of this love triangle. Summer has been changing for the better right before her husband's eyes, and he has willingly fulfilled his marital duties.
On Friday Jack insisted that his son make a final decision as to which woman he wants to be with, but Kyle could not.
He told his father and Lola that he does not Summer and her mother to cause any more damage to Jabot, but viewers suspect there is something more going on. Kyle was head over heels for Summer until Ms. Rosales came into the picture. It's possible that deep down he still loves her only does not realize it. If he truly wanted out of the marriage, he could easily do so, but even with pressure from Jack and Lola, he has remained.
If he cannot remove himself from his wife's bed, this will be very telling.
Summer turns on Phyllis
Soap Opera Spy indicates that Summer Newman Abbott is a woman scorned and on a mission. Kyle was stunned when she did not react with jealousy when he said he almost went to bed with Lola. His new bride replied that she understood and would give him time to get over his feeling for his ex.
Summer probably feels she has the upper hand on Ms. Rosales, but now she must battle her own mother. Phyllis was going to blackmail Jack using pictures of Kyle and Lola without a thought o how her daughter would be hurt.
Spoilers indicate that Summer will confront her mother regarding this latest stunt and it won't be pretty. Anything Phylis says against Kyle will only strengthen her daughter's resolve to make the marriage work.
"The Young and the Restless" airs weekday afternoons on CBS at 12:30 PM EST.
