For the past week on "The Young and the Restless" Abby Newman has been having moments with. Nate Hastings. He was at the opening of her restaurant "Society," and she spoke to him after the news that Neil had passed away. Spoiler alert now tease that something more than friendship may blossom between Victor Newman's daughter and his personal physician. Abby has not had a very good track record when it comes to love. Arturo recently broke her heart and her emotions are all over the place. A fling with Dr. Nate might help her move forward and leave recent troubles behind.

This union however probably will not result in a long term relationship.

Nate and Abby connect

Celeb Dirty Laundry reveals that the love triangle with Summer, Kyle, and Lola, will continue through May Sweeps, but Soap Dirt indicates that another relationship on "The Young and the Restless" may soon be front and center. Abby may be looking at Nate for her next romantic relationship. The two hit it off recently but there were no noticeable sparks flying. It could be that their shared grief for Neil may bring them together, or the duo may gravitate towards one another just because they both are single.

Skyle and Kola have been taking up a lot of air time on "Y&R", so some viewers may enjoy a diversion of another couple being on screen.

Billy and Victoria re predictably back together, Devon is getting closer to Elena, and Victor and Niki are solid right now. Abby, however, is dealing with her former fiancee cheating on her with his brother's wife, and may possibly be the father of her unborn child. Ms. Newman could use a diversion outside of the restaurant to keep her mind off of the pain she is dealing with.

Abby and Nate probably won't last long

Spoilers don't say how this will work in the long run, but "Y&R" viewers realize that Abby's track record, along with the usual Newman/Abbott drama will probably lead to yet another relationship that does not go anywhere. In the meantime, it will be interesting to watch the friendship and possible romantic feelings between Victor's daughter and his physician grow.

Arturo will soon be leaving Genoa City and neither Abby nor Nate has shown interest in dating anyone else. If they do decide to hook up, it may be smooth sailing. at least for a while.

Nate has basically been in the background since coming back to town, but if he begins dating Abby this will change. The aftermath of all the emotions tied to Neil's death will eventually subside and things in Genoa City will soon be back to business as usual.
