The “Suits” star Meghan Markle is no longer just an American actress but is a much-loved member of the British royal family. She is not only the wife of Prince Harry but also an expectant mother, and her fans are curious to know which venue she will select for the big moment when she will hear the first cry of her baby.

New Zealand Herald reports the traditions in the British royal family is for would-be royal mothers to go to the exclusive Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in London. That is what Kate Middleton did. All her three children saw the first light of day there.

Even Prince William and Harry were born there. However, Meghan Markle hates to tread the beaten path and loves to do things in her own way. It is quite possible that she has different ideas. She has come a long way and is on the threshold of opening a new chapter in her life when she becomes a mother.

What is in Meghan’s mind?

One chain of thought is that the Duchess of Sussex could go to another hospital. It could be Frimley Park Hospital because of its proximity to Frogmore Cottage where she and Prince Harry will be shifting. The hospital she has in mind is nearer when compared to Lindo Wing, which is nearly 23miles away and located in the middle of London. As an actress, she has seen life from close quarters and exuded confidence.

She has broken off all past connections and embraced a totally new lifestyle to match with the requirements of the royal household. She has impressed people in the family as well as others she met at different forums, and these must have endeared her to Prince Harry.

Another option before her is to consider a home birth. It seems a media outlet had indicated that the Duchess of Sussex had been "reading up on natural-birthing techniques including hypnobirthing." There is a precedent because Queen Elizabeth gave birth at home.

Incidentally, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be welcoming their child in the UK spring.

Break away from tradition

The Cosmopolitan UK adds Meghan Markle may not follow in the footsteps of Kate Middleton and others of the royal family. She has in mind an alternate hospital, which will be nearer to her home in Windsor. In case the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex shift to Frogmore Cottage before the birth, Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey would be more convenient. It is an NHS-run hospital, equipped with dedicated facilities for private patients. There are also possibilities that she might be considering a home birth.
