Marvel has been a huge success under the Disney brand. The hurdle that the company faced when making Marvel films is that some of the comic's biggest properties have been owned by other companies. However, that hurdle has been extremely beneficial, leading to Marvel becoming more creative, launching the success of Iron Man, Ant-Man, Thor and The Guardians of the Galaxy.

The original deals made at the beginning kept the reality of Wolverine teaming up with the Avengers in a movie, highly unlikely. Disney made a huge step forward of making that a reality in the near future when they bought the rights to a majority of Fox's films and TV properties.

Now they have the opportunity of Avengers teaming up with the X-Men.

Disney/Fox deal leaving future of Deadpool in question

The deal is leaving a lot in limbo. Fox has been focused on the X-Men franchise over the past few years, and is set to release "New Mutants" and "X-Men: Dark Phoenix." Now the question remains, what becomes of Deadpool? Heroic Hollywood reports Ryan Reynolds recently confirmed that Deadpool 3 is in development. Deadpool 3 will now be released under the Disney/Marvel banner.

"Deadpool 3" would not be held down by budget restrictions. It would be able to afford more than two X-Men characters. It would open the door for a string of cameos of Marvel heroes. However, Disney makes family-friendly films.

Marvel often gets a bit darker, but they only go as far as PG-13. MovieWeb has said that Deadpool 3 will be very different than the first two films, hinting that Disney might be altering the future of Deadpool.

Deadpool could still survive in a PG-13 environment

While "Deadpool" is known for its dark humor, violence, and gore, and constant swearing, could Disney just make their own PG-13 version, replacing Ryan Reynolds?

Even though Ryan Reynolds is forever tied to Deadpool. They could also just toss Deadpool aside for the foreseeable future because they just don't know the best way to make him fit the Disney label.

It is a concern for many. If Deadpool becomes a PG-13 franchise under Disney, could it still succeed? It could lose viewers because it lost the edge it's known for.

Disney has released R-rated Movies before but under a different label.

Disney should let Deadpool be Deadpool, just have two versions, one for other Marvel movies and let him joke around in a PG-13 manner. Marvel hasn't had any missteps under the Disney label, so maybe they'll realize the MCU is better with Deadpool in it than the merc with a mouth being sidelined. We should hear more about this if "Deadpool 3" becomes a reality.
