Both “KGF” and “Zero released across the world on December 21, 2018. On the one hand, there is Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer “Zero” while pitted against it is the megastar Yash starrer “KGF” [“Kolar Gold Fields”.] Shahrukh plays a midget “Baua Singh” in the flick and is directed by Anand L Rai.
Even though all the star cast and the producers of “Zero” have gone on overdrive and leaving out no avenue to promote the film, “KGF” is still turning out to be the proverbial dark horse. We are saying this after the statistics obtained from the Ticket Booking website BookMyShow.
The Shahrukh, Katrina and Anushka starrer “Zero” has garnered 2, 52,518 likes while “KGF” has managed 3, 01,753 likes. This shows that the Kannada film is not a pushover. Further, the flick is being released in five different languages including Hindi and can affect the earnings of “Zero” in the Hindi hinterland.

Shahrukh Khan is bowled over by 'KGF' trailer
Even though King Khan’s film is clashing with “KGF”, he has the best wishes for the film and has even appreciated the rushes of the film according to the leading star of the film, Yash.
“KGF” is one of the costliest Kannada films and is releasing in five languages including Kannada and Hindi. The film is set in the background of Kolar Gold Fields and is high on action and violence. 'Zero' public response
Immediately after the release of "Zero", trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted in a negative way about the film, he wrote, "#OneWordReview…#Zero: FIASCORating: ⭐️ ½. Expected so much from this collaboration [SRK and director Aanand L Rai]… Sadly, the flawed writing - especially the second hour - takes the film downhill... EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT."
