marvel Studios has managed to bring in some amazing talent to shape the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First, it was Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, then came Chris Evans to play Captain America. These strong performances have led to fans becoming upset and saddened when reports were swirling that alleged Chris Evans was finished as Captain America. Comic Book reports that these rumors are not true and that Evans still has some gas in his tank.
USA Today recently sat down with "Avengers: Infinity War" director Joe Russo and discussed a variety of topics related to Avengers 4. They eventually pressed Russo about a tweet that Evans sent out signaling his final appearance as Captain America. Russo responded with a cryptic answer saying “I think it was more emotional for him than it was us because he’s not done yet. I won’t explain what that means but fans will soon understand what I’m talking about.”

Russo did not exactly explain what Evans meant by it or even clarify his response.
However, he caused fans to start to wonder what the director really meant. News reports have been circulating for several months about Evans leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe, once Avengers 4 is finished. There are some rumors swirling around that Avengers 4 could be taking place five years after the events of "Avengers: Infinity War."
In October, Chris Evans sent out a tweet that seemed like he was saying goodbye to fans. Evans thanked everyone involved including cast and crew members, as well as Marvel fans. The tweet took the Twitter world by storm and caused fans to panic as they began to prepare themselves for what they believed would be the final appearance of Chris Evans as Captain America.
Evans later returned to Twitter to clarify his statement, saying it was not a spoiler to his character's future in the MCU.
Chris Evans still willing to carry the shield as Captain America
Chris Evans addressed his tweet during the ACE Comic-Con and said that the day was emotional and was the culmination of 10 years of filming and 22 Movies. Russo's cryptic comments do not answer whether or not we will see Evans as Captain America in future films, following Avengers 4. However, Avengers 4 could leave the door open for Steve Rogers appearances, or even cameos. For now, fans will have to wait and see what Avengers 4 has in store for Captain America when it drops next summer.
Russo also stopped by an Infinity War screening, where he held a Q&A session, discussing all things Avengers.
He revealed that he originally considered bringing in some of the Netflix heroes. However, he found having to work in several tv shows into the canon of several movies seamlessly, not to be worth the time. Evans previously told The New York Times, that he would not be returning to the MCU after the Avengers 4 film.
