Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, on their first official overseas trip, will visit New Zealand. Traveling as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they will make their visit part of a tour that encompasses Australia as well. The New Zealand trip will take them to some of the most beautiful parts of the country. The New Zealand Herald noted that Kensington Palace announced their itinerary.

Meghan and Harry to see some of the South Island

The South Island of New Zealand is particularly spectacular and Harry and Meghan will get to see some of it. They will visit the Abel Tasman National Park, which is a stretch of coast outside of the fruit-growing town of Motueka, the village of Riwaka, and Marahau at the Top of the South.

The area's famous for the Abel Tasman Coast Track, which boasts well-maintained paths and campsites alongside the forested beaches. The beauty of the coast is stunning, and Kiwis (a local term for New Zealanders), are thrilled to have them visit the iconic wilderness.

Stuff.co.za reported that Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said, "It's wonderful news that the Duke and Duchess are coming to New Zealand as part of their first major tour outside the United Kingdom. I know they will receive a very warm Kiwi welcome wherever they go."

Royal Couple to visit the North Island of New Zealand

Of course, they have to visit the North Island which is the main seat of trade affairs. Auckland is mandatory for any dignitaries.

It's the biggest city in New Zealand and is set around two harbors. Known as Tāmaki-makau-rau by the Māori people, it's ranked as one of the best cities to live in. Also nicknamed the City of Sails, the Royals will note lots of yachts and beautiful sea views.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are scheduled to visit Wellington near the bottom of the North Island, across the Strait from the South Island.

Wellington is the political capital of the country. Known as the "Windy City," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will see the lovely place has waterfront promenades, sandy beaches, and brightly painted rows of houses in the hills above the ocean.

Rotorua, the Maori cultural center offers a glimpse through time

Traditional Maori culture is still strong in New Zealand, but for visitors to the country, Rotorua is probably the best place to experience it.

Maybe Meghan and Harry will get to experience the delicious traditional hangi which is a meal baked in the ground. It's likely they will go through a traditional Maori greeting which Meghan is sure to enjoy. The surrounding area is another gem when it comes to startling beauty. Taupo Volcanic Zone results in geothermal terraces, mud pools, and geysers.
