Apple is all set to launch the iPhone 9 and two more iPhone smartphones on September 12. Notably, iPhone X was launched in September 2017. It was the priced at $1000. The new 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch iPhones might both be called iPhone XS. The company has been recently replaced by Huawei as the world's number one smartphone manufacturing company. On the other hand, the California based tech giant became the first tech company worth $1 trillion. Apple is expected to gain the number one spot again with the launch of next-gen iPhones. The company is coming up with a number of new features in its upcoming smartphone.
Also, the firm has decided to ditch a few features in the upcoming handsets.
No 3D touch in next-gen iPhones
Apple is rumored to remove 3D touch from upcoming devices. The feature debuted with the iPhone 6S in 2016. According to Digital Trends, "earlier in 2018, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he expected Apple to drop 3D Touch as soon as 2019." The phones are expected to boost OLED display and Lightning-to-USB-C cable. Last year's iPhone X comes with a 5.80-inch display with a resolution of 1125 pixels by 2436 pixels. The camera details of the upcoming iPhone are not available yet. Meanwhile, iPhone X 2018 sports dual 12MP rear sensors and a 7MP front-facing camera. It has an A11 Bionic chipset and 3GB of RAM.
The RAM might be increased in the next-gen iPhones.
In terms of design, the upcoming smartphone might carry the same design philosophy compared to its predecessor. The upcoming device will mark the metal and glass design. "The leaked image indicates that the high-end smartphones will sport a new gold color scheme, while the iPhone X’s will have grey and white designs, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Talking about the price, Apple is looking to set the price with 5G's arrival.
According to Forbes, "with a mix of flat cost and [percentage of selling price, the privilege of adding 5G to the iPhone will cost around $21." A number of companies are working to bring 5G by 2020 including Qualcomm. Apple will also launch Apple Watch - the fourth generation - during the launch event on September 12. The new generation iPhones are expected to hit the stores on September 22. Apple's upcoming handsets will compete with the Samsung's Galaxy S9 and Note 9. Stay tuned for more tech news and updates.
