Just when "Dragon Ball" fans thought that the battle between Goku's Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan 4 was the peak of fan service that the spin-off title could come up with, the series just released its first trailer for the Universe Mission 4. It debuted Gohanks ( A fusion between Gohan and Trunks) and Gold Oozaru Cumber.

New characters

When "Super Dragon Ball Heroes" made its anime debut with the Prison Planet arc, a large portion of anime fans were surprised to see the addition of a lot of new characters to the franchise. Although this storyline is not canon, it still caught the attention of anime fans because it takes place right after Universe Survival saga.

Below is the trailer for Universe Mission 4:

The first character to appear in the trailer is Toki Toki (The bird) and old Supreme Kai. For those who don't know, Toki Toki is a character exclusive to Xenoverse and Dragon Ball Heroes. This bird has the ability to create time within Universe 7 and lives in Time Nest with Supreme Kai of Time.

In the next scene, we get to see Omega Shenron: Xeno and Gohanks who turns into Super Saiyan 3. In this spin-off, there are many fusions that never appeared in the original "Dragon Ball" series, including a fusion between Vegeta and Trunks.

The next sequence in the trailer shows the Prison Planet arc. The main villain, Cumber, battles Ozotto on the Prison Planet.

Ozotto made his first appearance in "Dragon Ball Z: V.R.V.S." which was released on Sega System 32. Ozotto easily deflects Cumber's Ki attack and during that time, Goku shows up to fight Cumber. Cumber creates an artificial moon and transforms into his Golden Oozaru form. According to Comicbook, A Golden Great Ape is more powerful than the regular Great Ape, but the downside of this enormous power is that the Saiyan will go berserk if he cannot control this form.

Goku transforms into his Blue Kaio-Ken form and dodges an incoming attack from the Great Ape. Though the attack misses Goku, it penetrates through Fu's prison and suddenly, Fu appears on the scene and teams up with Goku. Currently, the teaser is only for the promotion of the next arc for the arcade game, but we just might see this arc played out onscreen.

New movie release date

The next movie in continuity with the canon series is set to be released on December 14, 2018, in Japan. Funimation has acquired the theatrical rights for the movie and is planning to release it in the United States and Canada in January 2019.
