Hayden Panettiere is learning that breaking up, even on the best of terms, can be very hard to do. The 28-year-old actress has virtually been on screen or on stage her whole life, first starring in commercials, and then on daytime dramas “Guiding Light” and “One Life to Live” before becoming Claire Bennet on “Heroes.” Hayden Panettiere may need her own guiding light at this juncture of her life. Just weeks ago, her television drama “Nashville” came to a moving close, with the versatile and spirited actress joining the full cast, including Connie Britton, on-stage in singing “A Life That’s Good,” a song from the series that came to symbolize themes of love, family, and music -- which always permeated the storylines.
Panettiere perfectly captured the spark and simultaneous turmoil that always drove Juliette Barnes to extremes on “Nashville,” and, to the delight of fans, Juliette and Avery came together in the last episode, set to share idyllic sunsets on the farm.
Life can be much harder than anything depicted on TV, and, as People reported on August 9, Hayden Panettiere listed the unique and cozy Nashville home that she shared with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko and daughter Kaya for $1.65 million. Selling a home can often be painful because the memories and milestones that inhabit the walls never vanish into a cardboard box, and mending a heart can take much longer than moving a property listing. Hayden Panettiere was previously in a relationship with Milo Ventimiglia as well.
A once-serene refuge
In April of 2017, Blasting News featured the buoyant Hayden Panettiere showing off the rooms of her modern and secure Nashville hideaway, including a precious slumber space for Kaya, where even mom could fit into the toddler-sized bed. The master suite of the four-bedroom, five-bath home was filled with light and soft touches, and the design of the rooms was a collaborative project for the whole family.
The music room above the garage was designed as a gift for her betrothed Ukrainian boxer beau. Some of the standout features include bulletproof windows, a remote-controlled gate, and an all-encompassing security system. The door from the living area to the bedroom wing is described as “super-bolted,” akin to an interior safe room because the bedroom doors require a handprint scan to unlock.
The family bonds remained strong as the actress went through a very real battle with postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter. For most of Season 4 on “Nashville” in 2015, the actress was in treatment for the issue and returned for a second stint of holistic treatment. She showcased her own struggle with postpartum depression through her character on the show.
The property was listed on August 1 with Michelle Maldonado at Parks at Home real estate. Regarding the $1.65 million asking price, according to People, the couple “didn't tinker at all” in agreeing on the figure.
Transition is tough
No official statement has come regarding the relationship status of Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko, but Radar Online reported some troubling behavior from the actress on August 8, describing her as barefoot and inebriated with an unknown man.
“There are a lot of changes going on in her life,” admitted her mother, Lesley Vogel.
Partings are difficult, whether from a home, a relationship, or a much-loved TV series. Hayden Panettiere spoke of wanting to be an example of a strong, confident woman for her daughter after emerging from postpartum depression, and even the strongest of women struggle. Many fans have faith that this powerhouse talent and mom will be back to her confident, compassionate self soon -- both on-screen and at home.
