Carrie Underwood has always managed to balance her caring, nurturing side right along with Country Music superstardom. Even before legally becoming Mrs. Mike Fisher in 2010, the Carrie Underwood tour bus was frequently filled with rescue dogs and comforts of home for the singer from Checotah, OK. The petite blonde beauty first sang about her handsome, hockey-playing husband in her 2009 hit, “Mama’s Song,” in honor of her own mother. Carrie and Mike became parents to Isaiah in February 2015, and many loving portraits have been shared to display the close family bond.

Word came yesterday (August 8) that the family of three will soon be a family of four when Carrie Underwood shared that she was pregnant for the second time via Instagram, as reported by TODAY(where Keith Urban stopped last week), and several other sources.

'Cry Pretty Tour' coming a little later

A commotion was already stirring among Carrie Underwood fans, curious as to why her CryPrettyTour360, as tagged, was starting in May, so the expectant mom took on the question herself. The camera zoomed out to reveal a shot of her sitting on a sofa, revealing shiny, silver balloons spelling B-A-B-Y hanging from the curtains. Carrie was shimmering, too, in a pink jacket from her CALIA active wear clothing line.

The singer emphasizes that the brand was specifically designed for busy moms who go from PTA meetings and dropping kids off at school to a full day of work, hoping to work in a quick workout. She will likely be making use of the feminine and casual styles when she hits the road as a working mom of two.

Underwood’s “Cry Pretty” album, her sixth studio effort, will be released on September 14, while her tour commences on May 1, 2019, in Greensboro, NC.

Carrie is already slated as the headlining performer at Rockefeller Plaza for the “Today” concert series on the day of her album release. According to Hollywood Life, the baby on the way isn’t keeping mommy from belting out her title single or looking fabulous in a sparkly romper.

Not too late

Some fans seemed perplexed by Carrie Underwood’s comments in a Redbook interview for the September issue.

The star mused honestly about the possibility that she and her husband “might have missed our chance to have a big family,” as she speculated that being 35 might preclude parenthood possibilities.

Last May, Hoda Kotb sat down with Carrie for the first time since her fall at home last November that left her with 40 stitches in her face and a broken wrist. The powerhouse vocalist had just had a triumphant welcome back to the stage at the ACM awards, but her confidence still seemed a little shaky. “Every day, I feel a little more back to normal,” Underwood explained.

Being a mom again has to feel normal for Carrie Underwood, too. Her songs celebrate mothers and women everywhere who confront life’s struggles in strength and faith but feel every human emotion, too.

For now, fans will just have to wonder whether or not the jacket she wore in the announcement video gave anything away.
