Is the Wasp on her way out? Is Ant-Man’s sidekick going to become a thing of the past? These are just a few questions that diehard fans of the Marvel Movies are wondering after a promotional ad for “Avengers 4” was leaked online.

Wasp on the way out?

According to Comicbook.com, artwork from Marvel's "Avengers 4" was leaked online earlier this week. While the promo featured the remaining heroes that are still hanging on to complete their quest to eliminate the ultimate evil that is Thanos, did Marvel inadvertently make a mistake when it comes to Hope Van Dyne, better known as the Wasp, or were they hinting at something ahead?

While Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, and Ant-Man didn't appear in "Avengers: Infinity War," they have all been linked to the sequel. The Wasp was also tabbed to the sequel, however, she is noticeably absent from the new artwork -- which has many fans thinking that she may not make it through the events of "Infinity War."

Did Lilly tip her hand?

When it comes to Ant-Man and the Wasp, both play fairly equal roles in the relationship. As duly noted by Comicbook.com, the Wasp sometimes seems to emerge as the outright leader between the two.

So did actress Evangeline Lilly tip her hand earlier this year when she was asked about her role in the upcoming "Avengers 4" movie? Lilly said she was going to be in the movie, that much we know, but as for how much airtime she is getting -- well, that left fans a bit stunned.

“I will appear in Avengers 4,” Lilly said. The Marvel actress went on to say that while she doesn't have a ton of airtime, she is happy and very proud to be part of the movie. Those answers were a bit puzzling for fans of her character. She also advised fans not to get their hopes up too high if they are expecting to see a lot of the Wasp.

Is this whole promotional poster saga being blown out of proportion, or is the Wasp exiting the premises?

Perhaps fans will get their answer in just a few weeks when “Ant-Man and The Wasp” hits theaters nationwide. The upcoming second installment of the Ant-Man series could reveal what fans are looking for.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is scheduled to be released on July 6, and you know the rumors will only grow from there.

Surely that will lead up to the hype of "Captain Marvel," which is due out on March 8, 2019, followed by "Avengers 4" on May 3, 2019.

What do you think? Is the Wasp making her final appearance, or is this just something that is being misread or blown out of proportion? Time will tell.
