"Avengers: Infinity War" movie has been riding high and has surpassed "Star Wars: Force Awakens" by earning $250 million in the United States. After the superhero movie released worldwide, fans and critics from around the world were left bewildered when they did not find Ant-Man and Hawkeye during the superheroes’ fight with the mighty Thanos. Marvel Studios recently released a short video featuring the cast of “Infinity War” asking the same question.

'Ant-Man and the Wasp' new teaser released

In the released teaser video that promises the release of a brand new trailer of “Ant-Man 2, actress Scarlett Johansson appears on the screen and questions aloud, “Where were Ant-Man and the wasp?” Johansson is later followed by the other members of “Avengers: Infinity War” wondering the same thing.

The short video ends by showing Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly looking embarrassed and then announcing that a new trailer would be coming out tomorrow.

In the official press release from the Marvel Studios, the synopsis of “Ant-Man and the Wasp” says following, “In the aftermath of ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father.”

“Ant-Man and the Wasp” is set between the events shown in “Captain America: Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” As per previous interviews and press releases, Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd) is now under house arrest after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” and he tries to balance his personal life as a father and with the new responsibilities brought in to the story by Hope van Dyne (played by Evangeline Lilly) and Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas).

According to Screen Rant, directors Joe and Anthony Russo confirmed that “Ant-Man and the Wasp” will be the most connected to the “Infinity War” movie. The next superhero film will be coming out about three months after the events of “IW,” so aside from the connections between the two features, fans are excited to see the quantum realm’s bigger role in the upcoming film.

Directed by Peyton Reed on the script written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Paul Rudd himself, “Ant-Man and the Wasp“ will follow the ensemble cast of Rudd, Evangelina Lilly, Michael Pena, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, and Judy Greer.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp” is scheduled to release on July 6, 2018.
