They have termed it a ‘mini-moon’ and not a honeymoon. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feel their royal duties are more important instead of jetting off on a honeymoon right now. Instead, they will spend some quality time together in Dublin. It will be a short duration holiday in the form of a two-day break.

Right now, one of their first tasks will be to attend a Buckingham Palace garden party on Tuesday.

It will be a part of the 70th birthday celebrations of Prince of Wales.

According to Daily Mail UK, the former American actress wants to step into the shoes of a full-time royal. She had already impressed the Royal Family with her adaptability before her marriage and wants to continue the trend.

Their tentative travel plans

Ireland will be their first stop. The country will be a first for Harry but not for Meghan Markle. She went been there in 2014 as an ambassador for the One Young World summit. The next stop for the couple will be Australia in October 2018 for the Invictus Games. These games are a part of Harry’s charities and are meant to encourage disabled war veterans.

Subsequently, the Royal Couple will visit New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga, for which plans are being drawn up.

Incidentally, in spite of their jam-packed schedules, Prince Harry and his bride did manage to snatch a few moments of privacy. After attending two receptions hosted by the Queen and Prince of Wales on Saturday, the newlyweds left Windsor Castle on Sunday afternoon to get away from the glare of publicity.

Honeymoon destination

The Telegraph UK reports that the likely honeymoon destination for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be Botswana in South Africa. It offers a large variety wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and privacy. Harry loves the place and he took Meghan there to celebrate her birthday in 2017, so it will revive plenty of memories.

The Sun UK gave details of that trip. They went to Botswana and stayed in a tented camp above the Boteti River. The luxury camp was run by a close friend of Harry and he and Meghan had total privacy in the midst of wildlife and nature.

The itinerary of the newlyweds is yet to be finalized but Meghan wants to get involved in charity work in a big way. Once she returns from her honeymoon, she is expected to announce details of charities and campaigns that she will support. She has worked with a number of charities in the past like UN Women and World Vision and will continue with activities associated with the Royal Foundation alongside Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
