"Days of our Lives" spoilers reveal that a shocking character return is coming. The NBC soap opera is officially bringing back a character that has been gone from Salem for over ten years, and fans couldn't be more excited.
Farah Fath returns to 'DOOL'
According to the latest "Days Of Our Lives" spoilers and news, actress Farah Fath will reprise her role as Mimi Lockhart. Longtime "DOOL" fans know that Farah played the role of Mimi from 1999-2007. During her time in Salem she was the best friend of Belle Black, and caused some serious trouble. Mimi, the daughter of Bonnie Lockhart, plotted to take down Chloe Lane at Salem High's Last Blast dance.
Mimi Lockhart's history in Salem
Many "Days of our Lives" fans will remember that Mimi fell madly in love with Rex Brady and found herself pregnant. However, when she decided to have an abortion her life too a dramatic and sad turn. Rex eventually found out and dumped her. Later, Mimi wormed her way in between Shawn and Belle, and even married Shawn. The two couldn't conceive a child and turned to a surrogate to have a baby. However, Belle, who was married to Philip at the time, was also using the invitro process to have a child and that's when things got really crazy. Mimi's egg was fertilized by Philip's sample and implanted into a surrogate. Meanwhile, Belle's egg was fertilized by Shawn's sample, eventually leading to her becoming pregnant with their daughter, Claire.
Bonnie Lockhart's daughter gone but not forgotten
After Mimi schemed and was eventually busted, she and Shawn ended their relationship, and Philip and Mimi allowed their child to be adopted. Mimi eventually left town and hasn't been back since. Recently, during a storyline featuring Bonnie Lockhart, "Days of our Lives" fans heard mention of how great Mimi was doing.
However, the character has mostly been forgotten.
Will Rex Brady also return to the NBC soap opera?
"Days of our Lives" fans are now hoping that Rex Brady may also return to Salem with the news that Farah Fath has stepped back into the role of Mimi Lockhart. Many fans always felt like their love story wasn't over, and seeing them return to the soap opera would be wonderful for fans who loved Salem's previous teen scene back in the early 2000s.
