Donald Trump is not happy with a new report that appears to reveal his private nicknames used for two members of his administration. After the report was published, the president decided to fire back on Twitter and deny comparing them to cartoon characters like Mr Magoo and Mr. Peppers.

Trump on Mr. Magoo

It's no secret that Donald Trump has often clashed with his political opponents, who at times are members of the Republican Party.

In addition, the former host of "The Apprentice" has gotten into heated feuds with members of his own administration, with many of them having quit or been fired in the process. In a report put out by the Washington Post on Saturday, Trump reportedly mocks Attorney General Jeff Sessions by labeling him "Mr. Magoo" from the old cartoon series, while calling Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein "Mr. Peepers," another cartoon character.

In a tweet sent out on April 21, Donald Trump denied the Washington Post report in a fiery tweet.

"The Washington Post said I refer to Jeff Sessions as 'Mr. Magoo' and Rod Rosenstein as 'Mr. Peepers,'" Trump tweeted. "This is 'according to people with whom the president has spoken.' There are no such people and don’t know these characters," Trump claims of the fictional cartoon programs. The president concluding by adding, "just more Fake & Disgusting News to create ill will!" In response, those who oppose the president made sure to give their thoughts.

Twitter reacts

Following Donald Trump's denial about comparing Jeff Sessions and Rod Rosenstein to cartoon characters, critics quickly hit back. "Hey, where are all the Trump supporters who usually praise him," one tweet read.

"Pocahontas, Rocketman, sh*tholes, slimeballs.

We know you'd never call people other than their names. The nerve of folks to say that about such a fine man as you," a Twitter user wrote with mockery. "Of course you said those things. Just like the 400+ other people you’ve nicknamed. Running scared," another tweet added. "Your twitter feed is full of your name calling and it's far too late to try and clean it up. You are vile and that is how you will go down in history," an additional tweet stated.

"Melania Trump look happy taking to president Obama, at miss Barbara Bush funeral I haven't seen her smile like that in years," a social media user wrote. "Lol. Come on Donald that’s a great name for Sessions. You remember Mr. Magoo don’t you ? Here he is on the Trump train," a follow-up tweet went on to read.
