Trump on Cohen
It all started back in January when the Wall Street Journal broke a bombshell story revealing an alleged affair between Donald Trump and adult film star Stormy Daniels.
The paper reported that Michael Cohen, Trump's lawyer, had paid Daniels $130,000 in "hush money" during the 2016 presidential election to keep quiet about her relationship with Trump. Since then, Trump has been surprisingly quiet about the news, leaving members of his administration, like Sarah Huckabee Sanders, to deliver basic denials to the media. Fast forward to present day and it was reported on April 9 that the FBI had raided Cohen's office over the issue at hand, where he could face multiple charges, including bank fraud.

While taking questions from reporters just hours after the story of the FBI raid on Michael Cohen was made public, Donald Trump hit back.
"Just heard that they broke into the office of one of my personal attorneys," Trump said, before referring to Cohen as a "good man." "It’s a disgrace,” Trump noted, before stating, "It's frankly a real disgrace. It’s an attack on our country." Not stopping there, Trump went on to noted, "It’s an attack on what we all stand for… A whole new level of unfairness."
