Ryan Edwards, “Teen Mom OG” star Maci Bookout’s former husband, was arrested at his home in Tennessee by Red Bank City police on March 27. The arrest was related to a violation of his probation on a former heroin possession case. Bookout, 26, wasted no time in filing Orders of Protection against her ex-husband when she heard about the arrest.

Orders of Protection filed against Maci’s former husband

According to a report by the Ashley Reality Roundup, the Hamilton County Circuit Court docket shows that two Orders of Protection have been filed against Ryan.

One lists Macy’s husband, Taylor McKinney vs. Edwards. The second order names Macy herself along with the three children – Bentley, aged 9, 2-year-old Jayde, and 22-month-old Maverick – vs. Edwards. The “Teen Mom OG” star shares Bentley with her former husband, Edwards, while the two smaller children were fathered by McKinney.

As reported by US Magazine, a judge will hear both cases today, April 2. At present it is unclear exactly when Maci and Taylor filed the Orders of Protection. However, it was on Tuesday March 27 that 30-year-old Edwards was arrested. US Magazine quotes Radar Online as reporting that Edwards was out on bond by 10:15 p.m. that same day. Reportedly, Edwards was not accused of failing a drug test, but of missing one.

Ryan has in the past admitted to using heroin and had a stint in rehab in May 2017. This decision was made after MTV’s “Teen Mom OG” cameras captured him falling asleep behind the wheel of his car on the way to his wedding to his new wife, Mackenzie Standifer. The MTV network aired the incident at the time and also in a further episode of “Teen Mom OG” in December last year.

According to Standifer, 21, Edwards has been spending around $10,000 every week on drugs.

There have always been concerns over Ryan Edwards' sobriety

A source close to US Weekly said there have always been concerns about Edwards' sobriety and went on to say that the subject will be a major topic during the reunion episodes on April 16 and 23.

The same source went on to say that Ryan needs in-patient treatment and a longer stint in rehab than he had in the past.

However, there is at least some good news relating to Ryan this week, as a teaser was aired during the March 26 episode, for the episode of the reality show coming up on April 2, which gave the news that Edwards and Standifer are expecting their first child. Mackenzie is already the mother of four-year-old Hudson from her marriage to her former husband, Zachary Stephens.
