Lala Kent wouldn't be on "Vanderpump Rules" if it wasn't for her co-star scheana marie -- at least according to Scheana. During a recent interview with "Hills" stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt on their podcast, "Make Speidi Famous Again," Scheana said she deserves credit for Lala's full-time role on the Bravo TV reality series.
“[Lala’s] still there thanks to me,” Scheana told the former reality stars, via a report from Reality Blurb. According to Scheana Marie, Lala and her producers were at odds with one another in the months leading up to production on the show's sixth season but because she went to the producers herself in an effort to ensure Lala's return, the hostess' role was ultimately secured.
"I was literally begging production that we need her," Scheana said.
As fans of the series may recall, Kent chose to leave the reality show midway through the fifth season after a number of her co-stars, including Katie Maloney and Jax Taylor, slammed her publicly for dating a married man. While Kent has since confirmed that her relationship with Randall Emmett did begin prior to the finalization of his divorce, she also noted that his ex-wife, Ambyr Childers, actually moved on from their marriage before she and Emmett began dating.
Scheana and Lala were close after 'Pump Rules' season five
Because Scheana was close to Lala at the time production on season six was set to begin, she didn't hesitate to go to bat for her because she wanted the people she was close with to be on the show.
As fans saw during the season five reunion of the show, Scheana chose to stand by Lala as she made amends with her co-stars, including Katie Maloney, and Ariana Madix also offered her support.
Did Lala Kent think Scheana Marie had ill intentions for her return?
According to Reality Blurb, Scheana seemed to reveal that Lala had accused her of trying to get her to be her mouthpiece during filming on "Vanderpump Rules" season six during the reunion taping last month.
However, as Scheana explained, that wasn't the situation at all. Instead, she genuinely wanted her then-friend to return to the show. "I don’t need someone to do that for me. Her and I are like in a weird place right now,” she confirmed.
To see more of Lala Kent, Scheana Marie, and their co-stars, including Lisa Vanderpump, James Kennedy, and Tom Sandoval, don't miss new episodes of "Vanderpump Rules" season six this and every Monday evening at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
