Amber Portwood is not at all upset about Farrah Abraham's recent exit from "Teen Mom OG." While many felt that the series wouldn't feel right without the original cast moving forward with the new season, Portwood spoke to In Touch Weekly magazine about her personal thoughts on the issue and made it clear that the series was doing just fine without Abraham on board. In fact, she thinks the MTV series is doing better than ever without the controversial star.
"We're doing good without [Farrah Abraham]," Portwood told the magazine on April 8. "We still have our fans and some of them are really happy about it, so I can't knock that," she added.
As fans saw weeks ago, producer Morgan J. Freeman informed Abraham on the show that if she was planning to continue to do work in the adult industry, they would have to cut ties with her. In turn, Abraham informed her producer that she was unwilling to walk away from her adult career.
Who is replacing Farrah Abraham?
Since Abraham's exit from "Teen Mom OG" was first reported, rumors have been swirling in regard to the possibility of Mackenzie McKee serving as the former reality star's replacement on the show. Throughout the past several months, McKee has been sharing hints on her social media pages and even posted an image of Morgan J. Freeman at her home. That said, she hasn't confirmed whether or not she will be featured on the upcoming season of "Teen Mom OG" and the network has remained silent as well.
On Twitter weeks ago, Catelynn Lowell was asked about the possibility of Mackenzie McKee joining the show and suggested the "Teen Mom 3" star's potential addition made no sense. As she explained, "Teen Mom OG" is about the original girls. So, to add someone new would go against what the show is all about.
Farrah Abraham's final dig at Amber?
Months ago, after learning that Portwood was expecting a child with her boyfriend Andrew Glennon, Abraham lashed out on Twitter with a shocking message that suggested Portwood was being paid to have the child by the network. "[Amber Portwood], just f**king admit you planned your pregnancy," the ex-reality star tweeted at her former co-star.
"This is so pathetic. F**K 'TEEN MOM'! Enjoy the bonus for your new kid and pay your child support!"
To see more of Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, and Maci Bookout, tune into the first half of the two-part "Teen Mom OG" season seven reunion on Monday, April 16 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
