The couple just announced they were courting back in January and they are now engaged. The fans have wondered if they waited a bit to announce their courtship since he had a failed one in the past. Lauren Swanson was on a trip with the family before they even let the world know that they were a couple.
They have been friends for years, so it wasn't at all like they just got to know each other. They both have really big families, so you know this wedding is going to be a huge one.
Josiah Duggar shared that the proposal was very important to the couple and he did it in a very meaningful way for her. He said, "The place where I proposed to Lauren is the exact spot where her parents were engaged. There’s a lot of family history on this property, making it a special place for Lauren.”

Lauren Swanson also shared her thoughts on the big engagement and said that she is really excited to be engaged to Josiah now. She shared that the engagement was all a very "special moment" to her.
