Billie Lee was recently added to the cast of Bravo Tv's hit reality series "Vanderpump Rules" and soon, she will be exposing more of her private life in the series. As her co-stars continue to bicker over Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's relationship drama and Ariana Madix's feud with Stassi Schroeder, Lee is speaking out about the upcoming episodes of season six and revealing that fans will soon see her dating.
“I love that people are going to see a trans woman dating. That’s cool,” Billie Lee told Page Six on February 6. While Lee is certainly embarking on a fun experience with Bravo TV, she did admit to the outlet that she was a bit nervous to date on camera because of her fear of rejection.
As she explained, she didn't want to go through an embarrassing moment on national television, and who can blame her? That said, she ultimately decided that when it comes to reality television, it's best to be honest and live life honestly. Lee went on to say that as she shares her real-life experiences on "Vanderpump Rules," she believes viewers of the series will get to understand what being trans entails, if they don't already.
Billie Lee joined 'Vanderpump Rules' for its sixth season
In early 2017, after working at SUR Restaurant for a couple of months, Billie Lee was approached by "Vanderpump Rules" producers about joining the cast of their popular series. However, she didn't know any of the show's stars before she began filming and wasn't introduced to the cameras until the series' Pride episode weeks ago.
During the episode, Lee gave an inspiring speech about her transition.
Bille Lee has quickly made friends with her 'Pump Rules' co-stars
“I was going through a breakup at the time,” Bille Lee said of the moment when she agreed to join the show. “I needed a fresh start," she added. "It was good to have new friends.” As fans have seen in recent episodes of the series, Lee appears to have hit it off with just about everyone.
She's also taken note of the scenery at SUR Restaurant and told Page Six that there are "so many hot guys" at the venue.
