After hosting a segment on CBS' "60 Minutes," Oprah Winfrey came under fire from Donald Trump. After tweeting about Winfrey, the president went on to face his own round of criticism.
Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes. The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!

Trump on Oprah
Earlier this year during the Golden Globe Awards, Oprah Winfrey made headlines after giving a well-received speech that led to many calling on her to run for president.
While Oprah hasn't spoken out much on the issue herself, many have kept her name in the hat as a potential challenger in 2020. Fast forward to present day and Oprah hosted a special panel with 14 voters from the swing state of Michigan, half of whom voted for Donald Trump. After a spirited discussion, speculation increased as to whether or not it was Oprah's way of testing the waters for the upcoming election.
Last fall, Oprah Winfrey spoke with 14 Michigan voters, seven of whom voted for Donald Trump. Winfrey sat down with the voters again to get their thoughts on Trump's first year in office. https://t.co/fvItU7cDJN pic.twitter.com/XLC09keC0k

Following the "60 Minutes" segment, Donald Trump decided to give his thoughts on Oprah Winfrey during an aggressive tweet on February 18.
"Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes," Trump tweeted. "The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect," he added, before concluding, "Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!" As expected, Trump's remarks quickly resulted in a viral reaction across social media from those who oppose the commander in chief, with many pointing out the irony of his tweet accusing Oprah of being the one who is actually insecure.

After Donald Trump's Twitter attack on Oprah Winfrey and her "60 Minutes" segment, it didn't take long before the president's critics fired back. "So now we’re are on to a fake culture war with a black female entertainer since the NFL is in off season now?" one tweet asked.

"You’re the President of the United States.
Don’t you have something more important to do than insult talk show hosts?" Renato Mariotti tweeted. "Oprah is insecure? Lol okay, this coming from the walking pumpkin," a Twitter user wrote. "Insecure Oprah? Donnie baby your projections are so transparent," an additional tweet was sure to point out.
But having the president mention her regularly keeps the circus rolling

"Desperate rantings from a soon to be impeached and imprisoned traitor," yet another tweet stated. "But having the president mention her regularly keeps the circus rolling," a social media user wrote. As the backlash to Donald Trump continues, only time will tell if Oprah Winfrey challenges him for president.
