If you are even the most casual Duggar family fan, then you would know that they are very strict when it comes to getting into relationships. The family is so strict that the children in the family don’t actually do dating, but instead, they follow the practice of courting.
Well, now one of the newer family’s couples Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson have been allegedly spotted showing some Pda. This would not be the first time that a member of this family has been caught showing some PDA as both Jinger and Jill Duggar have shown some serious PDA with their husbands Jeremy Vuolo and Derick Dillard before.
When did all of this allegedly take place?
This Duggar couple was spotted showing some PDA when they were in New Zealand and more specifically when they were visiting the Waiouru Army Museum. When they were visiting this museum, the two were allegedly getting very handsy with each other and were even spotted with their faces so close to each other it was in the kissing distance.
The pair announced their courtship at the start of the year as Josiah told People “We are overjoyed to begin this new phase of our lives together.” He then continued with “Through the years our families’ friendship has allowed us to get to know one another as friends.”
When Josiah began to explain what made Swanson so special, he said: “I so appreciate Lauren’s Christlike character and tender heart toward others.” I have attached an Instagram post below of this Duggar couple having a nice romantic walk on the beach to show you how well they get on with each other.
What is the difference between courtships and arranged marriages?
The Duggar family have come under fire in the past about them following the practice of courtships as many fans see courtships as just arranged marriages. However, the two are quite different as when two people are courting each other they both have to give their consent to be in the courtship.
However, with arranged marriages, the pair has no say and have to get married, and they have no option to opt out of it. Jim-Bob Duggar who is actually the father of the family decided to talk to Today about how the family viewed courtships by saying “I do not choose who my children marry.
Over the years, I have suggested guys to my daughters.” As you can tell from reading that statement Jim-Bob allows his children to pick their partners as all he has done in the past is recommended suitable partners whom his children may like.
