The latest updates and spoilers for "Avengers: Infinity War" reveal new details of Peter Parker's Iron Spider armor in the movie. New LEGO playsets for the movie featured the Iron Spider having four mechanical spider arms similar to its comic book counterpart. Peter will use the new site to fight Thanos and his forces as they invaded earth to haunt the remaining Infinity Stones.
The LEGO playset also revealed Thor's new weapon in the sequel, and its appearance and structure are similar to the Ultimate Mjolnir. Comic book fans have debated whether the latter's new arsenal could be a reforge Mjolnir or his enchanted battle axe, Jarnbjorn.
Comic book accurate Iron Spider?
Imgur username Hansolodies365 posted several photos of the new "Avengers: Infinity War" LEGO playsets that featured several Marvel characters fighting Thanos's forces on different locations from the movie. One of the LEGO figurines that caught everyone's eyes is Spider-Man wearing the Iron Spider armor complete with four mechanical arms.
In the comics, the Iron Spider was given to Peter Parker by Tony Stark as a way support the Superhero Registration Act during the "Marvel Civil War." The original suit had three mechanical arms, but the aftermath of the war revealed three new Iron Spiders with four arms that were worn by Michael van Patrick's clones.
The Iron Spider suit was featured in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as Tony's way of making Peter an official member of the Avengers, but he turned it down as Peter felt that he was not ready.
The web-slinger will use the suit to fight Thanos during "Infinity War" alongside Iron Man, Doctor Stephen Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
A new hammer
Hansolodies360's photos also revealed that Thor will wield a new weapon that is similar to the Ultimate Mjolnir. Thor's new hammer will be created by an intergalactic weapon forge that was shown in the film's teaser, and he is joined by Rocket and Groot.
Mjolnir was destroyed by the Goddess of Death, Hela, during the events of "Thor: Ragnarok." Thor's ship was attacked by Thanos and he has captured his people including his brother, Loki. The Trickster God joined Thanos by offering him the Tesseract from the Asgard's weapons vault to spare his life.
The God of Thunder was saved by the Guardians as they headed to earth to stop the Mad Titan and his forces from completing the remaining stones. Iron Man and Captain America must also put aside their differences and unite Earth's Mightiest Heroes to defend the universe.
