For those of you who have yet to feast on all the wonder that was the "Crisis on Earth X" crossover-event over at The CW, you may want to bookmark this page and read it after you've finished the full four-hours! You have been warned! Major #SPOILERS ahead!

Are you still with me? Good! This week The CW really made a name for itself in the entertainment field. With its first ever 'true' four-part multi-episodic crossover event, the network proved that despite the shows in question having separate fan-bases - when given the time and budget - they could pull in millions of viewers across all platforms and dominate in the ratings.

The event began with "Supergirl" and "Arrow" (at a special time) on Monday night and concluded with the knockout doubleheader of "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow" on Tuesday evening. As a placeholder for "future crossover events" that may or may not involve the cast of Supernatural, the crossover knocked it out of the proverbial park.

Amid the heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat action sequences spanning three separate 'Earth's,' the crossover was able to pack in its share of surprises as well! One of which being the impromptu nuptials of longtime will-they-won't-they "Arrow" couple Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak! Absent of any immediate family - being that the couple, and their superhero friends, were saving the multi-verse in Central City - the couple will re-celebrate their speedy marriage in this Thursday's episode entitled "Irreconcilable Differences."

The moment we've all been waiting for

It is no secret that the oft-doomed coupling of Olicity has experienced its share of ups and downs.

From ill-timed gunshots to illegitimate children, the couple hasn't had the best luck when it comes to monogamy. Sure, we have been blessed with a few moments over the years - pre-drugging Nanda Parbat hanky-panky, the drive into the sunset after the Ra's al Ghul travesty and who could forget the proclamations made in the tunnels beneath the team's secret base-of-operations in episode 5X20 "Underneath." After all the heartache, it seems like the couple will finally get their moment in the sun.

Thursday's episode will hold a gathering-of-sorts to toast the happy couple on their marriage (later derailed - of course - by Black Siren and her latest antics).

According to Matt Webb Mitovich, Editor-at-large at TVLINE.com, who broke the news earlier today, we may be in for a treat as far as the guest list is concerned. Fan-favorite mother-of-the-bride Donna Smoak, Noah Cutler, and a recently-reawakened Thea Queen are all expected to be in attendance as well as the rest of #TeamArrow.

For super fans of Arrow, you'll be happy to hear that the Hoffman's (known solely for their insistence that Oliver and Felicity bare children as soon as possible back in season 4) will be attending the ceremony as well [according to CanadaGraphs' twitter account].

If my spidey-sense is correct, I believe it would only be fitting for Oliver to toast the memory of his fallen parents. Bring your tissues folks; I predict a night of tears!

What might the future hold for 'Olicity?'

All things considered, the episode will serve as the show's fall finale, and I couldn't imagine a better note to close out 2017 with. It does, however, beg the question: What does 2018 - and beyond - have in store for Team Arrow's favorite ship?

Here are a few of my predictions for the couple moving into the second half of season 6.

  • For a ship that has had so many obstacles thrown into the path of their love story, I predict a hefty serving of lighthearted - dare I say steamy - moments for the dynamic duo.
  • The couple will move in together again and share in many adorable mundane morning bathroom tooth-brushing moments.
  • Last, but certainly not least, I predict that by the end of next year's season 7, Felicity Smoak will have a very significant maternal-moment with Oliver's son William. Perhaps in the form of a particular announcement. I foresee baby-Arrow on the horizon in next two years - William needs to be able to show how awesome a big brother he would make!

"Arrow" fall finale episode airs this Thursday, December 7, at 9 PM on The CW Network.
