When it is summertime, everyone knows that one of the best things to do is going to the beach to have some fun. Well, the Duggar family do not see it that way as they aren’t huge fans of the beach. Why do the Duggar family not like beaches?
The Duggar family has their morals and views deep-seated in religion, and that is one of the reasons why they hate beaches. In case you didn’t know the Duggar family are Independent Baptists and according to “In Touch Weekly” they are also devout Christians. Their religion is the main reason to why their family is strict with dating and the types of clothes that they wear. It is also a big reason to why the family isn't the most prominent advocates of the sunny seaside.
You see, in 2012 Michelle Duggar wrote a blog post about why she doesn’t like her children going to the beach. This is a few lines from the extract that she wrote: “we don't do a lot of swimming events where swimsuits are worn because it's just too hard for guys to try to keep their eyes averted in those situations.” It is also worth mentioning that when the Duggar daughters do go swimming, they have to wear skirts below the knee to cover up.
Michelle then again wrote in her blog post about wearing skirts below the knee while swimming. This is what she had to say “we try to maintain a standard of modesty.”
Jinger Duggar breaks family rules
In case you didn’t know Jinger Duggar is known as the rebel child in the family. Jinger has been seen on her Instagram kissing her husband Jeremy Vuolo numerous times and has also been seen wearing her signature skinny jeans.
Some people think that Jinger’s sister Jill doesn’t like her because of how rebellious she is towards the family’s values. Michelle Duggar allegedly addressed the feud between the two on a blog post. This is what the mother of the family said about the feud: “comparing ourselves to others, envy, and jealousy all lead down a road to bitterness.” Now, if that doesn't confirm that there is a feud between the two sisters I don't know what will.
