Meghan King Edmonds is full of all kinds of good news and clearly had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. She shared the cutest photo of her with husband, Jim Edmonds, as they celebrated the first birthday of their baby daughter, Aspen. This comes amid news that the reality star is expecting her second baby, a boy.

Announcement made ahead of reunion special

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" star announced her pregnancy on her blog on Sunday night. She was happy to finally reveal a secret she's kept from fans for a few months now. In her blog, Meghan King Edmonds says in part two of the season 12 reunion airing Monday night that she's one month pregnant.

The episode was taped five weeks ago, so she's officially ten weeks along.

Meghan King Edmonds went on to say that Aspen is going to have a sister. Although Jim has five daughters and one son, they're all grown. The "RHOC" star explained that she and Jim thought it was important to have a sibling that Aspen can wake up with every day.

Jim Edmonds' other children absolutely love Aspen and are supportive of the second pregnancy, Meghan wrote. They're excited about their father and stepmother "expanding" the family.

IVF journey

In season 11 of "RHOC," viewers saw the IVF journey Meghan King Edmonds went through. It was an arduous procedure and involved a lot of discomfort, but it didn't deter the 33-year-old from wanting more children.

In fact, she shared recently in an interview that she wants a lot of children. Apparently, her husband is all-in on the idea and she's on her way to having the family she wants.

Meghan King Edmonds admitted in her blog post that it was "so hard for us to keep it a secret from everyone especially since we shared our entire IVF journey with Aspen on "RHOC" from the very beginning." She added that the second IVF journey went a lot smoother.

She suspects it's due to the fact that she knew what to expect and maybe her body was more adjusted to the hormones.

Filming "RHOC" was stressful during season 11 for Meghan King Edmonds and this time around it wasn't an issue since the IVF treatments took place when filming was done. She also ate healthier, cutting out most alcohol.

She wrote in her blog that it was "next to impossible to do while filming." She also stayed away from television shows that were negative or made her emotional.

"The Real Housewives of orange county" has one more reunion episode before season 12 concludes. It airs next Monday, December 4 at 9 PM, ET / 6 PM, PT on Bravo.
