Ladies and gentleman, it has not been a good few days for Jill Duggar’s husband Derick Dillard. For example, earlier in the week he had been kicked off the TLC Reality Television Show “Counting On,” after making some rather mean remarks about transgender TLC star Jazz Jennings. Well, now the week is getting worse for Dillard as fans of the Duggar family are not happy about him and his wife sharing a kiss at the rather recent wedding of Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth. To find out why there is up an uproar about this kiss continue reading the article below and I’ll happily tell you.
Why is there such an uproar about a kiss?
Well, let’s be honest, if you see a couple share a kiss in public it isn’t a big deal, nobody really cares. However, the reason why Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard are under fire is because of where and when they took the kiss. You see, the pair shared a passionate kiss at Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth's wedding, and they took the kiss when their picture was being taken.
This is not the first time the pair has shown their personal displays of affection to the world. As recently on Jill Duggar’s Instagram, she posted a picture of the two of them sharing a kiss. It is not a shock to many that the two are constantly showing their love to each other as a commenter under Joy-Anna Duggar's wedding pictures said “Trust Jill and Derrick to try and take over the scene.
They couldn’t just blend in; they have to smooch.” While another commenter under the wedding pictures said: “They can’t have one picture without them being the focus.”
Controversies that surround Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar
If you have been a fan of the Duggar family television show for the past few years, you would know that this isn’t the first time that the two have come under fire from the public.
As who could forget Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar’s alleged online scamming? In case you didn’t know Dillard posted a fundraising page online right after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston. Many saw Dillard begging for money as stealing cash from the victims of the hurricane. This made the website shut down the fundraising page as they too saw it as a very selfish move.
The other controversy surrounding Duggar family member Derick Dillard that is worth addressing is that he recently bullied transgender teen Jazz Jennings. A few months ago the feud between the two started when Dillard said online that, “Transgender is a myth as gender is not fluid but ordained by God.” A few days ago he then reignited the feud by stating online that “Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on tv these days.” That comment then got TLC to get him kicked off the Duggar reality television show “Counting On.”
