In "The Walking Dead" Season 8 premiere we saw the start of the "All Out War," but also the glimpses of what's to come after all is done. Three different timelines have been introduced, and the show will probably continue to go down this path as Season 8 continues.
We tried to explain these timelines the best we could in the previous article, and we also got well into some of the interesting callbacks to previous seasons. So now, without further ado let's jump into the juicy details regarding the next episode of "The Walking Dead."
'TWD' Season 8 Episode 2: title, and the official synopsis
The episode 2 of "The Walking Dead" Season 8 is titled "The Damned, " and it will have the runtime of 44 minutes.
Here's the official synopsis: "The plan involving Alexandrians, Kingdommers and Hilltoppers unfolds; As Rick continues to fight, he encounters a familiar face."
We have a guess who the familiar face might be, but more on that later.
'The Walking Dead' 8x02 sneak peek
AMC allowed us to take a glimpse at the next week's episode as they released a sneak peek. You can check out the video down below.
As you can see, the short clip revolves around Morgan, Jesus, Tara, and Diane who are discussing the best way to take down a herd of "walkers" at one of the Negan's outposts, which is probably the one we already saw toward the end of Season 6.
'TWD' 8x02: What can we expect?
Let's start with the title itself.
While "The Damned" can be a reference to the "Saviors" or at least their different outposts, it can also refer to the Junkyard group a.k.a."The Scavengers". If that is to be the case, then the "familiar face" Rick encounters could very well be their leader, Jadis.
As far as the rest of the episode goes, we can expect to see some of the scenes from the teaser preview below.
But bear in mind that not all of them will be in the next week's episode.
We can see Ezekiel being overly optimistic as he delivers yet another of his speeches in which he says that the previous victories will allow the next ones and that they will lose not one of their ranks. Next, we have Rick and the group trying to stop one of Negan's outposts to deliver guns and ammunition to the Sanctuary which will allow them to clear out the zombie herd.
Then after a brief scene between Tara and Jesus, we can see Rick again chasing what appears to be a random "Savior" trying to deliver the supplies to the "Sanctuary."
With all this in mind, it seems that we are getting yet another action-packed episode. Don't forget "The Damned" will air on Sunday, October 29 at 9/8c on AMC.
