Rapper “Gucci Mane” and entrepreneur Keyshia Ka’oir are gearing up for the premiere of their 10-episode wedding special. The mini-documentary will feature intimate details of their life and the journey leading up to their extravagant wedding. Due to the couple's luxurious lifestyle, much is expected of their publicized union.
The wedding special
During the month of July, Bet network announced that it would be airing their series titled “The Mane Event." Since the initial announcement, viewers have only been able to get a tiny glimpse into the treat that awaits us all.
Promotional videos began to surface on social media and provided an intriguing preview into the series. One of the promo videos included an exclusive interview with Keyshia Ka'oir as she recalled her first encounter with the rapper. “I met Gucci on set, he charmed me with the way he treated me,” explained Ka’oir. During the promo video, she also dished on some of the details of her wedding. “My wedding will be over the top fabulous. Think royalty, love. It will be a diamond flooded wedding for the both of us,” Ka’oir revealed. Previews and sneak peaks into the show continue to flood social media as anticipation builds for the premier of the show.
Gucci and Keyshia’s history
To many people, it comes as no surprise that the two are tying the knot.
Gucci Mane and Ka’oir have been dating since 2007 and even helped to build each other’s brands. In 2013, the rapper ran into some legal trouble and consequently landed in federal prison. Ka’oir was being a loyal and devoted girlfriend when she took over the rapper's music business and promoted his songs while he was away. In addition to that, she developed and managed her own cosmetic empire named “Ka’oir Cosmetics”.
She became a pioneer of the colorful lipstick phenomenon and provided a variety of colors for customers to choose from. After Gucci Mane’s emancipation from prison in 2016, Keyshia Ka’oir continued to help him get his career back on track. She even contributed to his muscular, physical appearance. The couple often posted workout videos to their social media as she promoted her new line of “Ka’oir fitness gear”.

The two became engaged earlier this year, they landed a wedding special on a major television network, Keyshia expanded her empire, and Gucci wrote an autobiography.
