After months of speculation, South Korean celebrity couple tied the knot on Tuesday. The wedding, held at the luxury Shilla Hotel in Seoul, was a closed-door affair. However, nothing could escape the hawk-eyed fans of the SongSong couple.

A few Korean media outlets invaded the privacy of the Hallyu couple by flying drones over the wedding venue.

One footage on Twitter showed a drone capturing the image of the couple’s stunning wedding destination.

Another image showed the tastefully decorated cars of the bride and groom.

Although it was a civil wedding, the attire chosen by the couple was one that would befit a church wedding.

While Song Joong-Ki was sharply dressed in black, Song Hye-Kyo was dressed in a white satin gown with a long, elegant train.

She also wore a veil. The actress looked like a princess.

Photographs of Si-Jin and Ho-Jin, Song Joong-Ki’s brother and sister-in-law, have also surfaced. The actor’s father was also spotted talking to the guests at the reception.

Fan reactions

Some fans are upset about Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyo’s hush-hush wedding ceremony.

Last month, there were rumors on social media that the wedding would be live streamed. It was also presumed that the couple will Tie The Knot at Urk church at Taebaek in Gangwon Province where the military romance “Descendants of the Sun” was filmed. However, the couple put a damper on those expectations when they announced that they would be hosting the wedding ceremony at Shilla Hotel in Seoul.

Despite the hush-hush affair, fans of the Hallyu couple showered them with blessings. “SongSongCouple did not film a wedding scene for “Descendants of the Sun” because they are meant to tie the knot together in real life, ” said a fan girl on Twitter.

According to a report by Soompi, “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” actor Park Bo-gum will be playing the piano. Song Joong-Ki’ best friend Lee Kwang Soo and Song Hye-Kyo’s friend Yoo Ah-In will read out letters paying tribute to the couple.

How the couple met

The SongSong couple first met during the filming of the military romance, “Descendants of the Sun.” The K-drama was a hit and skyrocketed both the actors to fame.

Coincidentally, both Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyo made a comeback to the Korean entertainment scene after a brief hiatus.

The duo’s chemistry in “Descendants of the Sun” was so magical that the fans of the drama wanted the couple to get together in real life. Now, a new life awaits Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyo.
