Robert Pattinson's breakup with FKA Twigs has strengthened his friendship with Katy Perry. A source told Hollywood Life that the "Good Time" actor has been leaning on the "Swish Swish" singer since he called it quits with his longtime fiancee.
“Rob’s been talking and texting with Katy, and they’ve become super super close," the insider revealed. “There’s always been a really strong chemistry between them, and a definite attraction."
It added that the possibility of the two taking their friendship to the next level is not far from impossible since both of them are now single.
Robert Pattinson, however, would like to make sure that he is fully ready to commit before he makes a move towards Katy Perry.
Pattinson sparks dating rumors with Perry
The source went on to claim that the actor is "really into" the singer that he would not want to mess up their friendship if they would ever end up dating. It is worth noting that the two were previously spotted enjoying a private dinner at a restaurant in West Hollywood back in August.
Sources said Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry were "super cozy" during the dinner date, causing the fans to question the real deal between the two. Both parties, however, have remained tight-lipped about their rumored relationship.
Rumors linking the "Dark Horse" singer to the "Twilight" alum came several months after the former broke up with Orlando Bloom.
Although they have been friends for four years, it was reported that the two became closer since the actor called off his engagement with FKA Twigs.
Another source described Katy Perry as the "rock" for Robert Pattinson amid his separation from his fiance. "Despite being on tour, Katy makes it a point to shoot Rob a text, on a regular basis, to make sure he is not a crying mess," it claimed.

It added that the two currently share a special kind of friendship and nothing more than that. The "Wide Awake" singer, however, is reportedly not ruling out the possibility of dating the actor in the future.
"When the timing is better, and after he heals a little, Katy thinks they would be a great pair now that they are both single," the source added.
Robert Pattinson dated FKA Twigs for three years after his on-off relationship with his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart. The actor tried to keep a low-key romance with his new found love until T-Pain had a slip of the tongue and revealed their engagement in 2015.
