The latest episode of The CW’s “Riverdale” Season 2 recently aired, and things are finally picking up. Veronica Lodge is finally letting her boyfriend meet her parents, Archie Andrews is leading a watchdogs group composed of high school students, Betty Cooper is dealing with Kevin Keller’s late night walks in the woods, and Jughead Jones finally found a friend in Southside.

The third episode capped off with huge cliffhangers, and the new preview of the upcoming episode showed that things are going to get way out of hand. “Riverdale” creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa recently sat down for an interview with TV Line, and he opened up about the juicy tidbits in next week’s episode.

Speculations on Black Hood’s identity

In the recent episode of “Riverdale” Season 2, fans learned that the masked killer was someone who was called Black Hood. This violent gunman revealed that he went after Fred Andrews, Midge Klump, Moose Mason, and Ms. Geraldine Grundy because of the secret indecent acts they had committed.

He pointed out that Fred was an adulterer for dating Veronica’s married mother Hermione Lodge, Midge and Moose were guilty of doing drugs, and Ms. Grundy had carnal relationships with minors. Knowing all these, the Black Hood low-key hinted that he’s someone who actually knew what was really going on in Riverdale.

There are speculations going around that the Black Hood might just be one of the major characters since he’s going around town punishing the sinful residents.

Aguirre-Sacasa didn’t want to spoil the story, but he mentioned that the investigation on this criminal will pick up in “Riverdale” Season 2 Episode 4.

Black Hood seeks out Betty Cooper

The trailer for next week’s episode revealed that the Black Hood has reached out to Betty. He sent her a letter, and it seems like the killer wanted Betty to investigate his case, just like she did when they looked into the Blossom family’s secret.

Alice Cooper is terrified for her daughter, who’s being targeted by the Black Hood. Betty has no choice but to crack the coded letter she received from the killer.

Riverdale High vs. Southside High

As if the town doesn’t already have their hands full dealing with a killer at large, Archie’s watchdogs group called The Red Circle is stirring up another trouble.

The next episode will feature an impending showdown between the students of Riverdale High and Southside High.

In the upcoming episode’s preview, the young Southside Serpents pay Archie a surprise visit, and knowing Archie, he probably did something to get on their nerves. Aguirre-Sacasa promised that the rivalry between the two high schools will escalate, and Archie’s plans will backfire as always.
