A new English-dubbed trailer for the new Pokemon movie has just been released, heightening the hype for its upcoming premiere outside Japan. Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You!” has been set to hit theaters all over the United States next month.

New trailer revealed

A new full-length trailer for “Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You!” was recently released, giving fans a sneak peek of what’s to come in the latest film installment of the popular franchise. The movie is the 20th film installment in the franchise and the first one from the “Sun and Moon” series.

The animated movie is a loose retelling of the original Indigo League Saga of the anime series, bringing back fans to the roots of the story and showing them how Ash and Pikachu started out. The film was created and released to commemorate the 20th-anniversary of the anime series, which premiered in April 1997 and has already aired 985 episodes.

The anime series is currently in its 15th season, which covers the “Sun and Moon” Pocket Monsters series. The new “Pokemon” film made its premiere at the Japan Expo in France on July 6, 2017, and was later on released in Japan.

Fathom Events has picked up the movie for an English version and has announced that it will be releasing the film in selected theaters all over the world.

The animated film has been scheduled to release in limited theaters in the United States on November 5 and 6.

Tickets for the upcoming film are already available for purchase through Fathom Events’ official website. Fans who b watch the movie in selected cinemas in the U.S. will get a chance to win freebies including a rare Pokemon TCG card.

Old story with new characters

“Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You!” is a retelling of the original series of the anime. Ash Ketchum takes the lead role once again along with his cute sidekick, Pikachu. Fans will be treated to the appearance of old characters and to the introduction of new ones as well.

The new characters consist of trainers who will be partnering with various starter pocket monsters.

The new trainers are Marshadow, Sorrel, Verity, Bonzi, and Cross. Aside from the new trainers, a new pocket monster labeled as a mysterious Rainbow Pokemon named Ho-Oh has been introduced.

Ash will be voiced by American actress Sarah Natochenny, who has lent her voice to the character since 2006. Japanese voice actor Ikue Otani will still be lending her voice to Pikachu in the English-subbed version of the movie. The other voice actors who are aboard the U.S. version of “Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You!” are Carter Cathcart, Rodger Parsons, Michele Knotz, and Rachael Lillis.
