The latest updates and spoilers for the "Justice League" live-action movie reveal Lex Luthor's return to the DC Extended Universe, and he will join forces with the film's main antagonist, Steppenwolf. The DC villain was played by "The Social Network" star Jesse Eisenberg and he first appeared in "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice."

Ray Fisher revealed that his character, Cyborg will showcase his evolving powers throughout the course of the movie, and how his abilities could be a huge asset to the team.

New Lex Luthor plot

According to Hollywood Spotlight (via Heroic Hollywood), Lex Luthor will return to the world after being imprisoned and decides to work with Steppenwolf to take over the world.

Luthor's scene will be cut from the theatrical release of the "Justice League" as the latter was supposed to hire Deathstroke to kill Batman.

Luthor plays a huge part in "Dawn of Justice" as he tries to convince the world that Superman is a threat, and he has pitted the Man of Steel against the Dark Knight to save his adopted mother, Martha Kent.

Luthor is also searching and studying metahumans for his thesis and Batman is able to decrypt the data he has stolen from him to recruit Cyborg, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman.

Cyborg's powers

Cast member Ray Fisher talked about Victor Stone's powers in the "Justice League" as he told Cinemablend that his powers are evolving, and comic book fans and moviegoers will witness some of his never-before-seen abilities in the movie.

"Due to the technology used to create Cyborg, his powers are ever-evolving. They include the ability to interface with anything technological, flight, super-strength, hologram projection, and a sophisticated weapon's system... the list goes on!" Fisher said. He has powers within him that even he is isn't aware yet."

Victor's father, Silas Stone used a Mother Box to save his son's life after a tragic car accident.

Victor was transformed into a cyborg and blamed his father for it. He also a target of Steppenwolf and his forces as they try to search and gather the three Mother Boxes on earth during Darkseid's first invasion of the planet.

Two of the Mother Boxes are found in Themyscira and Atlantis. Superman will also return to the movie to join the League in their war with Steppenwolf, and save the planet from the armies of Apokolips.

There are also speculations that two Green Lanterns will appear in the movie and two post-credits scenes.
